This 8 Bay SCA RAID solution is complete with 8 sets of RDHSDE100 Kingston SCA Hot-Swap kits to house 8 units of 3.5" SCA 80-pin hard drives. The RDSS421B rack mount chassis in rugged steel, is designed to reliably house up to eight 5.25" devices. Solution is complete with internal U160 Amphenol cabling/AMP heads, and rear panel connections. Providing a maximum in excess of a terra-byte of storage.

Chassis Features:

  • Standard Rack Mount Design: 7" (4U) x 19" x 20.1".
  • Rear Panel Supports up to eight I/Os.
  • Rugged Steel Construction. Provides a durable enclosure with superior heat dissipation.
  • Houses Almost any 3.5 inch and 5.25 inch SCSI Devices. Standard size storage bay(s) house tape, floppy, DVD, ZIP and hard drives, or RAID controllers.
  • Two 300/400Watt* Power Supplies. Enhanced, auto-ranging load-sharing, hot swappable power supplies. (*This value represents the continuous, "rated" wattage for the power supply. This power supply is capable of providing a "peak" wattage of 500 watts during spin-up of high performance drives.
  • Four highly-rated, fans provide excellent cooling for long hours of operation.
  • Front Panel Display. Front panel indicators display important operating conditions such as power on/off, HDD active.

SCA Hot-Swap Kit:

Uses 8 sets of RDHSDE100 Kingston 80-pin SCA hot-swap carriers, 10K/15K U160 supported., with 8 ball-bearing independent intake fans, a total of 8 SCA U160 80pin Hard drives. Hard drives vary from 9GB to 181GB, with a maximum in excess of a terra-byte of storage.

Others:

  • Custom Amphenol internal SCSI cabling with AMP dual input heads, for redundant daisy-chaining and dual termination points for redundant termination.
  • Dual Belkin U160 external terminators for fault resilience, so that if one terminator fails the other will automatically provide the failed-over multimode signal.
  • External U160 6' cable for connecting sub-storage to your server's RAID controller....(optional dual inputs).
